An implant cerebral depression could end

electric shocks to the brain via an implant meant sometimes been used in extreme situations, and revive people in a vegetative state, but new research expands the scope for disorders like depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder. Thus, researchers have made up to 17 implants in as many people with depression and have registered their evolution over a year, showing a notable improvement in both mood and in the interaction with other people.
On the other hand, implants have been 26 people affected with obsessive-compulsive disorder and have been monitored for 3 years and shown a "remarkable improvement." These advances will be presented to the Association of Neurologists in the United States two weeks ago.
